A share link is a public, read-only URL to your canvas. Anyone with the link can explore the full flow in their browser, with no account and no download. It is the easiest way to put your work in front of stakeholders.
1

Open share

From the project, open the share options.
2

Make it public

Toggle the project from private to public to enable the share link.
3

Copy and send

Copy the link and share it. Recipients open a read-only version of your canvas.

What viewers can do

  • Pan, zoom, and explore the full flow.
  • Read screens, connections, and annotations.
  • Leave comments, depending on your settings.
Viewers cannot edit your flow or change the project.

Private by default

Projects are private until you turn on sharing. You can switch a project back to private at any time, which disables the public link. On the free tier, public shares include a BenchCanvas badge. Removing branding from shared links is part of the paid plans. See Plans.

Embedding

Because a share link is just a URL, you can drop it into tools like Notion or Confluence to embed the canvas alongside your other documentation.
For teammates who need to edit rather than just view, use project collaboration instead of a public link.
