Flow size
Flow size controls how many screens BenchCanvas captures and how deep it explores from your starting URL.| Flow size | Best for | Max screens | Depth |
|---|---|---|---|
| Quick exploration | A fast look at a site | 10 | One level deep |
| Standard flow | A balanced map of the main journey | 25 | Two levels deep |
| Deep exploration | A comprehensive map of a large site | 100 | Three or more levels deep |
- Quick exploration visits pages linked directly from the start, then returns to the start before exploring the next one.
- Standard flow goes one level deeper, following a link on a discovered page before returning to the start.
- Deep exploration follows branches several levels deep for the most complete picture.
Navigation style
Navigation style tells BenchCanvas which links to prioritize as it explores.Main nav
Prioritizes the header menu and top-level navigation first.
Content CTAs
Prioritizes call-to-action buttons and links inside the main content, like “Learn more” and “Get started”.
Footer
Prioritizes footer links first, such as legal, support, and sitemap pages.
Email alert
Turn on the email alert to get notified when your capture finishes. This is useful for large captures so you do not have to keep the page open. See also account preferences.A note on flow types
Earlier versions of BenchCanvas asked you to pick a flow type (such as login, features, or e-commerce) when starting a project. That picker has been removed from the new capture dialog. With faster generation and better tools to edit and reorder flows, capturing broadly and refining on the canvas is now the recommended approach. If a specific flow type was essential to your workflow, reach out through in-app feedback and the team can help.
