This guide takes you from sign in to a live, shareable UX map.
1

Sign in to the app

Go to app.benchcanvas.app and sign in. You can use an email sign-in code or email and password. See Sign in for details.
2

Start a new capture

On your dashboard, paste the URL of any publicly accessible website into the new capture dialog. This is the fastest way to get value.
Start with a marketing site or a public product page. Pages behind a login need the Chrome extension.
3

Pick a flow size (optional)

The default capture works for most sites. To go shallower or deeper, open the options and choose a flow size: Quick exploration, Standard flow, or Deep exploration. See Capture options.
4

Run the capture

Start the capture. BenchCanvas discovers pages, takes screenshots, and detects the navigation between them. You can turn on an email alert if you want to step away while it runs.
5

Explore your flow on the canvas

When the capture finishes, your screens appear connected inside a frame on the canvas. Pan, zoom, and click any screen to open its properties panel.
6

Analyze with AI

Open Flow chat to ask questions about the experience, or generate an AI insight report such as a Nielsen heuristic evaluation or an accessibility audit for any screen.
7

Share or export

Turn on a public share link so anyone can view the canvas without an account, or export the canvas to high-resolution PDF or PNG.
