# Sign in

> Create your account and get into the BenchCanvas app.

BenchCanvas is available at [app.benchcanvas.app](https://app.benchcanvas.app). The product is in private beta, so you may need early access first.

## Ways to sign in

    Prefer a password? Sign up with email and password instead, which is handy if the email link flow gives you trouble.

## Sign in steps

    Go to [app.benchcanvas.app](https://app.benchcanvas.app). If you are not signed in, you are taken to the login page.

  <Step title="Enter your email">
    Type the email address you want to use. Choose the email code option, or switch to email and password.

  <Step title="Confirm">
    For the email code flow, open the email from BenchCanvas and enter the 6-digit code. For the password flow, enter your password.

  <Step title="Land on your dashboard">
    After signing in you arrive at your project dashboard, ready to start a capture.

## Forgot your password

If you signed up with a password and cannot remember it, use the forgot password link on the login page. BenchCanvas emails you a link to set a new password.

## Deep links

If you open a link that requires sign in (for example, a capture started from the [Chrome extension](/extension/install) or a collaboration invite), BenchCanvas preserves your destination and returns you to it after you sign in.

  BenchCanvas works on mobile for a lighter set of tasks. For the full canvas, AI, and capture experience, sign in on a laptop or desktop browser. See [Using BenchCanvas on mobile](/account/mobile).
