# Share links

> Share a read-only canvas with anyone, no account required.

A share link is a public, read-only URL to your canvas. Anyone with the link can explore the full flow in their browser, with no account and no download. It is the easiest way to put your work in front of stakeholders.

## Create a share link

<Steps>
  <Step title="Open share">
    From the project, open the share options.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Make it public">
    Toggle the project from private to public to enable the share link.
  </Step>

  <Step title="Copy and send">
    Copy the link and share it. Recipients open a read-only version of your canvas.
  </Step>
</Steps>

## What viewers can do

* Pan, zoom, and explore the full flow.
* Read screens, [connections](/canvas/connections), and annotations.
* Leave [comments](/collaborate/comments), depending on your settings.

Viewers cannot edit your flow or change the project.

## Private by default

Projects are private until you turn on sharing. You can switch a project back to private at any time, which disables the public link.

## Branding on shared links

On the free tier, public shares include a BenchCanvas badge. Removing branding from shared links is part of the paid plans. See [Plans](/plans).

## Embedding

Because a share link is just a URL, you can drop it into tools like Notion or Confluence to embed the canvas alongside your other documentation.

## Connect AI with a share link

The same public share link powers [Connect AI (MCP)](/ai/mcp). When you open **Connect AI** in the project top bar, BenchCanvas uses a share link so Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, or another MCP client can read the project.

<Tip>
  For teammates who need to edit rather than just view, use [project collaboration](/collaborate/project-collaboration) instead of a public link.
</Tip>

## Export to Figma

The same public share link can power [Export to Figma](/share/export-to-figma). Open **Export to Figma** in the project top bar, choose frames and options, copy the link, and paste it into the [BenchCanvas Import](https://www.figma.com/community/plugin/1664042421119551550) Figma plugin.
